The Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) is a comprehensive and flexible law conversion course, delivered fully online, and tailored for:

  • Graduates from non-law disciplines in the UK and internationally who wish to transition into the legal profession.
  • International legal professionals whose qualifications do not meet the academic requirements for legal practice in England and Wales.

This programme provides a robust foundation in English and Welsh law, covering the core legal principles and reasoning skills essential for legal practice. It is specifically designed to prepare students for the next stages of their legal training, including the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and the Bar Training Course (BTC).

The GDL covers the seven foundations of legal knowledge required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Bar Standards Board (BSB):

– English Legal System & Constitutional Law
